Website to access $250 hazard pay back online after experiencing technical issues

The Louisiana Department of Revenue announced Wednesday morning that the website to access applications for essential workers to apply for $250 in hazard pay is experiencing technical difficulties.

The application portal at FrontlineWorkers.la.gov began accepting applications at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday, and by about 7 a.m., had accepted more than 14,000 applications.

Bandwidth and servers were configured to handle the high volume of applications anticipated, but a separate network connectivity issue has affected all applications on the Louisiana Taxpayer Access Point portal, including the front-line workers application, Louisiana File Online and other tax management applications, according to the Department of Revenue.

The Department of Revenue said the state Office of Technology Services worked to resolve the issue and just before 4 p.m., the site was back up and running.

Those looking to fill out an application can go to FrontlineWorkers.la.gov
