NOPD investigating two separate shooting incidents, two shot in New Orleans East

The New Orleans Police Department is investigating two separate shooting incidents Saturday night in New Orleans East.

NOPD officers said they received notification around 7:55 p.m. of an aggravated battery by shooting in the 6800 block of West Coronet Court.

One person was shot and taken to the hospital by EMS. No word on the person’s condition.

A second shooting was reported at 8:13 p.m. in the 7000 block of Bundy Road.

Initial reports show one victim, according to the NOPD. The extent of injury is not known.

The NOPD says it is unclear if there is any connection between the two shootings.
